FASTeTEN in practice: Valencia screen captures and ergonomics

The FASTeTEN project has published a document setting out the user interfaces that will be used for the pilot deployment of the FAST bundle of services in Valencia, Spain. In Valencia, FAST — which provides secure electronic document exchange — will be integrated into the regional eProcurement platform.

FAST will be used for procurement following the open procedure in Valencia. In an open procedure any interested economic operator may submit a bid in response to a call for tender. It is the only procedure for the procurement of individual contracts in which any interested economic operator can participate without the contracting authority performing a prior selection and/or dispatching an invitation.

The Open Procedure workflow includes three phases namely, eNotification, eTendering, and eAwarding, and includes several activities for each phase, including user authentication and authorisation, and exchange of documents in electronic format. The FAST Valencia screen capture and ergonomy document sets out the interfaces users — both administration users and users from participating companies — will see when they access the service.
